Are you planning on traveling to Malta or Cuba? Like other far-off destinations, you should prepare for the unexpected and make sure you have some sort of travel insurance coverage for your trip. There are many things that could happen – you could lose your luggage, get sick, etc. – and the only way to guarantee piece of mind during your vacation is an insurance policy. But before you head off, make sure your policy covers travel to these destinations. Read the fine print!

There are many companies that offer travel insurance. HBF Health Funds is one based out of Western Australia that offers budget and comprehensive cover. If choosing HBF Insurance you should select the comprehensive cover option, but make sure you speak to a representative to make sure that you are covered.

You don’t have to buy your travel insurance policy before you book your tickets, but you must have a policy before you embark on your treap. Read the terms and conditions, and speak to a sales representative!

Malta and Cuba are fantastic travel destinations, but protect yourself, buy some piece of mind, and make sure your holiday is covered.

Flying from Glasgow to Malta

Malta is one of Europe’s smallest and most densely populated countries, however extremely popular with tourists from the UK, particularly Glasgow.

Malta is a country filled with history, culture and surrounded by sunny shores – that’s why it’s always been a hit with tourists from the UK.

Flights to Malta are frequent throughout the year, with many companies flying from Glasgow including Thomas Cook.

The Mediterranean way of life is infectious, and many tourists sink into the warm atmosphere at ease. The country exudes character, from its beautiful waters and seculded bays to interesting medieval walled citadels.

Enjoy plates of fresh seafood on the shore or take a trip through one of the traditional villages. In Malta, there’s always things to do and places to explore.

If you’re flying from Glasgow remember to take a taxi or if you’re feeling stylish a limousine!

Remember to change your currency when going to Malta

From 1st January 2008 the Euro became the legal tender for the country of Malta. I suggest using a currency calculator to check the best exchange rates, as they can vary a lot! At one point I was getting £1.50 for every Euro but that dropped to £1.20 a day later!

The comparison websites are really handy, so check them out! Banks in Malta open at varying times and unlike banks in the UK, they aren’t open all day. Be sure to change your money before you go!
